Getting to know Wandaliz Marrero

Growing up in an underserved neighborhood, I have seen and felt firsthand many of the situations that people struggle with—which is why I became a therapist. After earning my Master’s in Counseling from Messiah University, I entered the field and, over many years, observed a high level of lack of compassion for diverse populations. This motivated me to open my own practice and provide people with the care they deserve. I accept everyone as they are because I know how it feels to struggle. My heart is in the work I do, and I show that by offering a safe and accepting space to people who come to me for support and healing. I focus not only on the struggles that hold you back but also on the positive aspects of who you are as a person and the life you have around you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I expect people to come into therapy as they are; there is no judgment in healing! Offering acceptance and safety is essential in your journey, and providing that is my priority. Trust me, I understand. Life is not always kind, and things never go to plan. That doesn’t mean that you and I can’t work together to get you on your feet and moving forward. I strive to create a comfortable environment so that each person can feel at ease and focus on our work together. Therapy services are provided in-person and online to work with people who have different accessibility needs. All I ask is that you show up and allow me to help you achieve your goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
