Getting to know Wendy Amozurrutia-Salazar
As a clinician, I take a collaborative and integrated approach when working with clients. In my years of experience, I have learned that my clients are the only true experts in their lives. I take great care in building trust and rapport. My clinical areas of specialization are life transitions, maternal mental health, parenting, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and trauma.
I hold a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University. In addition to my clinical skill set, I offer program development in integrated behavioral health for community agencies aimed at addressing inequitable care, decreasing stigma related to seeking emotional healthcare, and implementing evidence-based practices to ensure high-quality care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Life comes with many transitions. These transitions can be both unanticipated and expected. Nonetheless, the outcomes delivered can be rewarding, challenging, and filled with emotions! In these natural waves of life, having a safe space to explore the thoughts and feelings of these changes can oftentimes be the catalyst needed to find the direction and meaning we need to ensure our peace and acceptance of what life places before us. Therapy can offer that outlet and safe space. Whether you are noticing inexplicable changes in mood or if you find yourself contending with some difficult life experiences, being proactive is paramount.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
