My journey to mental healthcare My biological parents became foster parents when I was an adolescent, and I believe my journey in social work began then. I made helping others my career, and I am so glad I did. My goals for you Together, we set the goals for treatment and what you want to achieve in working with me. Each session, we will address your goals and make sure you feel you are making meaningful progress. My first session with you Our first session together will be information gathering so that I can understand you and your needs better. I also make sure that you have the opportunity to ask questions you might have for me or about how treatment with me works. It truly is a collaborative process.
