HI
Hi there, I'm Wendy! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) based in Hawaii. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Hawaii and my Bachelor's degree from Argosy University. I work with adults of all ages and specialize in alcohol/substance use, depression, anxiety, dual diagnosis, women's issues, and stress. I use strength-based therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy to help my clients recognize their own progress and start feeling better. My approach I prioritize creating a safe, compassionate environment that empowers individuals to make positive changes through a collaborative, non-judgmental therapeutic process. Tailoring my approach to each client's unique needs, I draw from multiple methodologies such as Strength-Based, Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, Narrative, Cognitive Behavioral, and Humanistic therapies, focusing on real-life skill-building. This personalized, client-centered framework fosters growth and resilience, supporting clients in achieving meaningful, lasting progress. My goal is to help individuals develop life skills that extend far beyond the therapy room. My focus My focus is on meeting individuals where they are, both emotionally and mentally. Since 2009, I have worked with clients seeking support to manage overwhelming stressors, feelings of despair, and a lack of resources, who are often challenged by substance use and behavioral health issues. I specialize in treating depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, life transitions, stress, and women's issues. My approach is compassionate, adaptive, and deeply attuned to each client's unique needs and circumstances.
