I am Wendy Gilchrist, a clinical professional counselor with over 25 years of experience working with people experiencing severe symptoms of mental illness. If you're facing anxiety, stress, career changes, difficult relationships, feelings of sadness or lack of motivation, or dealing with grief and loss, it is time to dive in and process those uncomfortable thoughts and feelings. Together, we will work to process them, put them in a safe place, and find ways to cope by learning to accept that you are the only one who can take the first step toward changing your difficult and unpleasant situation. Even when you feel hopeless, you have the potential to make a difference in your life. I hold a Master's in Clinical Counseling Psychology from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Student Residence Hall.
