Getting to know Wendy Theriot

Hello! I’m Wendy Theriot, MA, LPC. I believe in the power of the counseling process to help you work through even the most difficult life challenges, and I always consider it an honor to be a part of that journey with you. My approach to therapy is grounded in two main methods: EMDR therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). EMDR therapy is particularly effective for addressing Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Addiction, and Eating Disorders ( honestly anything that is hindering your life). It helps heal the brain through bilateral stimulation using eye movement or tapping. On the other hand, CBT/CPT:DBT focuses more addressing patterns and solutions to negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I look forward to working with you. After November ‘25 I will only be taking virtual clients which will be trauma focused but mainly addressed using a form of CBT/DBT/CPT.
