“Wendy made me feel comfortable immediately, to think this is my first time to do a therapy. She made me feel the assurance that it is okay to open up and share things without any judgements. I like how she really listens to everything and understands the situations I share. Moreover, i like the way she explains things to me about her plans and steps that she can do to help me. Lastly, i like that she makes me feel like i’m not alone in the process that we are going to do for me to be better. ”

Getting to know Wendy Wei

“Life is a journey to be experienced, not a problem to be solved,” said Winnie the Pooh. Therapy is a journey, and everyone's path will be different. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with children, teenagers, and adults. I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016 and 2017. I strive to develop an integrative and holistic strategy to individualize each client's needs, using several different approaches to help them reach their goals. If you are seeking strength in your authentic self, the ability to handle "imperfections" and "insecurities" with unconditional love, and to create structures for multilayered emotions, you are in the right place. Congratulations on taking the first step to start your journey of change! Share your concerns, questions, and preferences so we can get on board together. “You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”

What should a new client know about working with you?

Initial sessions: Rapport building. Understand what therapy is and how it can help you. Identify areas you would like to work on. Set realistic goals (both short term and long term). Identify needs and preferences. Learn about confidentiality and your rights. During/after treatment: Develop life long coping skills. An opportunity to explore and learn about yourself, including your identity, goals, purposes, needs, strengths and weaknesses. A journey to become a better version of yourself that’s defined by you. Find support in a comfortable, nonjudgmental, and safe space. Explore professional and scientific resources. Process trauma and find closures. Establish healthy ways to change how you interact with others. Improve sense of happiness that leads to better quality of life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
