Hi there, I'm Wesley-Martin! My name is Wesley Ervin, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist living in small-town Lemoore, California. I earned my Master's in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from California State University, Fresno. I work with adolescents and adults, specializing in anxiety, stress, depression, and queer identity. I offer queer therapy, geek therapy, and an eclectic approach that includes CCT, CBT, and EFT. My approach My approach is eclectic, drawing tools from different theories based on each client's needs. My most commonly used method is geek therapy, where I use video games and pop culture to understand clients and meet them where they are most comfortable. My focus I enjoy working with all clients but tend to be a better fit for queer clients and those who enjoy nerdy interests. I have experience with various identities within the LGBTQ+ community and especially enjoy supporting my gender-expansive siblings through their transitions. My communication style My style is relaxed and personable. I match my clients' energy and do my best to make them comfortable without requiring them to stretch themselves thin. My journey to mental healthcare My journey as a therapist has centered on giving back to my community. As a queer person, it is often hard to connect with a therapist due to lack of representation or education. I want to fill that need and make life easier for queer people, young and old. I hope to inspire a new generation of queer therapists so no one faces this difficulty again. My goals for you Ultimately, my goal is to collaborate and witness your growth and success.
