My goal is to create a safe environment where you can challenge the thoughts and beliefs that are holding you back or are keeping you from peace. I believe in a candid and genuine approach to therapy, which some people enjoy but others can find too direct. My approach I utilize a combination of approaches and theories to help challenge you and push you forward. Most notably, I use CBT and Adlerian approaches (I focus on thoughts and beliefs and how they relate to your actions and relationships) while also using motivational interviewing and a client-centered approach. My focus Are you struggling with a major life change? Did you find out something about your partner that has led you to question the relationship? Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, fear, or are you generally pissed off at either of these situations? We can work on navigating your concerns and finding constructive ways to move forward. My communication style I believe in a candid and genuine approach to therapy. It is worth noting that some people appreciate this and others find it blunt. I also believe that you can use whatever language makes you comfortable. You can say "fuck", "shit", "damn", or any other expletive in my office. I don't care as long as you are respectful. My journey to mental healthcare I received my bachelors in Psychology and picked up a clinical studies concentration from the University of Indianapolis. I then received my MA in Mental Health Counseling also from the University of Indianapolis, immediately after. My goals for you Everyone has their own treatment goals, and they change over time. We will work on a treatment plan that works for you, and we can address any changes we meet along the way. Usually, we will reevaluate your treatment goals and treatment plan every 90 days.
