Getting to know Whitney Hunt

Hello, I'm Whitney, a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) with a Master of Social Work from Morgan State University. I am passionate about working with teens, adults, families, and couples across a wide range of ages and backgrounds. My experience spans working with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, self-harm/suicidal ideation, substance and alcohol use, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, developmental disabilities, and more. I also have a special interest in supporting LGBTQ+ clients, including trans individuals. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work in various settings, including group work, chemical dependency programs, residential settings, and schools, in addition to extensive outpatient clinic experience. My training includes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), strengths-based approaches, and addressing dual disorders of substance use and mental health. I believe that you are the true expert in your own life. My role is to act as a guide and mentor, helping you navigate your journey. I strive to be authentic and genuine in our sessions, often using humor to create a comfortable and relatable environment. Many of my clients have shared that they appreciate this approach. If you're ready to take the next step, I'm here to support you. Let's work together to find the path that feels right for you.
