She is unsure where she would be without having taken the chance to become vulnerable. Meeting clients where they are is the most important aspect of sustaining a therapeutic relationship. Whitney utilizes client-centered therapy, ensuring clients are never pressured to share anything they are not ready or comfortable to share until a therapeutic alliance is formed. Taking the first step to seek help can be anxious and unsettling, but once done, we can begin to heal, shedding layer by layer. Therapy is a journey, not a destination. Being willing to be vulnerable and open to new ideas allows us to let go of what no longer serves us. Outside of work, Whitney enjoys gardening, baseball, reading books, and exercising. She serves clients ages 0-18 only.
