William McLeod is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Addiction Counselor who joined the Georgia Behavioral Health Professionals group in August 2018. He earned both his Bachelor's degree and Master's in Clinical Psychology from Montclair State University.
William primarily works with adults but also has experience with young adults, geriatrics, and adolescents. His therapeutic methodology is tailored to each client's needs, using a trauma-informed care approach. He primarily employs Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and integrates faith psychotherapy when invited by the client.
William considers himself a practical and collaborative therapist. His treatment approach integrates insight, hope, humor, and compassion as clients explore ways to achieve a happier and healthier quality of life. He provides a safe environment where clients can uncover strengths, skills, and strategies to enhance their life satisfaction. William has a passion for helping those with behavioral health struggles, including but not limited to substance abuse disorders, anxiety, mood disorders, grief, trauma, and anger.
