If you're reading this, some part of your life has worn out its welcome, and you're ready for change. Seeking support can feel uncomfortable and daunting, but this next step can improve your mental well-being and quality of life. Planning your life around addictive behaviors, such as alcohol or substances, or allowing others to push past your boundaries is exhausting. It can leave you feeling stuck, unable to live as your most authentic self. If you're feeling emotionally drained, you may struggle to find motivation to do the things you love or connect with those around you. You deserve space to work through the challenges of managing your career, family, and social life. Specific areas I treat include: Substance abuse Sex, love, and pornography addiction Compulsive sexual behavior Career choices Historical and developmental trauma Complex PTSD Getting comfortable in your own skin Though currently a Board Certified Counselor (NCC), I'm working toward certification as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP). My goal is to support individuals facing sex, pornography, and love addictions, as well as betrayal trauma from infidelity or a partner's sexual addiction. I have been where you are. In 2018, I began my own work with a counselor. I didn't know then how impactful it would be or the direction it would lead me. I understand what it's like to trust the process, the counselor, and yourself. I also know the rewards that come with doing the hard, sometimes uncomfortable work in counseling. There is power in creating a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space to process experiences and make positive changes. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an MBA from Southern Methodist University, and a Bachelor's from Texas A&M University. Wes Davis is supervised by Erin Wysong-Warren, LPC-S.
