My approach I employ a client-centered approach, which utilizes rapport-building to spearhead the therapeutic relationship. I prefer to partner with the client to accomplish goals. My focus My therapeutic approach seems most effective with youth experiencing various developmental challenges due to deficits associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and various anxiety and mood disorders. My communication style My communication style is genuine, jovial, accommodating, and non-judgmental. I enjoy assisting clients with developing insight through discussing topics that appear difficult in nature. My journey to mental healthcare I knew I would eventually become a therapist during my undergraduate years. I have always been an advocate within my community. I believe helping others is a life calling because it comes naturally to me, and people tend to gravitate toward me. I have a desire to work with and in demographics that are underdeveloped. My goals for you I believe goal setting begins and ends with rapport building. I utilize rapport building to learn more about the client's strengths and weaknesses/barriers. Helping the client develop insights into strengths and weaknesses, validating, and creating treatment plan goals that are measurable and align with the client's values.
