UpLift Behavioral Health providers do not issue prescriptions for substances controlled by any federal or state agency or other drugs that may be harmful because of their potential for abuse. UpLift Behavioral Health reserves the right to limit the types of medications that may be prescribed by its doctors and nurse practitioners. All prescriptions furnished by UpLift Behavioral Health care providers are issued in accordance with applicable federal and state law as well as UpLift Behavioral Health policy. Greetings, I meet the client where they are, meaning I first check in to see how you are doing and if you are taking care of yourself mentally, physically, spiritually, etc., and we continue from there. I also want to know about past experiences with therapy—what worked for you and what did not—so I do not turn you away by using a technique that was not effective for you. I am client-centered and culturally aware; being a person of color myself, I have no choice but to be. This is your safe space, and I hope to facilitate growth and change. I hold a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from St. Thomas University, which informs my approach and commitment to your well-being.
