“Looking forward to continuing my therapy. I felt much better after, she guided me without actually telling me what to do . I need to learn that part and with guidance I will. I was able to control a situation differently then my normal reaction after discussing things with her and for that I’m thankful. ”

“I have already expressed to a few people how wonderful Wynda was been. In just the few appointments we have had she has helped me see things from others point of view and this has helped a lot. She is direct but gives ideas on things to work on and how to work on it. ”

Getting to know Wynda Jefferson

When it comes to facing transitions in life, things can get difficult to manage. Although it can seem daunting and overwhelming at the onset of sessions, by the end of our therapy experience, together we will work on coping skills to address any concerns that may arise in the present and future. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Widener University, which equips me with the knowledge and tools to support you through these challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I have helped clients over my 19 years in the field address anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and ADHD. While working together, you can expect to feel understood, validated and empowered to make improvements in areas of concern at your pace through goal-directed and solutions-focused therapeutic modalities. I want to ensure that your needs are met and that any solution can be discovered while on the journey to emotional wellness.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Mrs Wynda is understanding she shows compassion and empathy. Very easy to talk to. Overall, this has been a great experience.
Tells me how it is whether I want to hear it or not. I respect and dig that.
I will never go back for another appointment. Kept repeating what I was saying while acting uninterested and annoyed. Had to leave because I was so upset and then had the police called.

Wynda is a provider who is able to push you out of your comfort zone and towards real growth. I recommend her to anyone who is ready to take on the challenge of moving beyond past trauma.
I chose Wynda hoping she’d understand my needs as a Black woman, but she showed no interest. Just 20 minutes into my session, after sharing my struggles, she asked, “That’s all?” and suggested I didn’t need regular sessions. When I asked for recurring appointments, she referred me to WHITE therapists instead. Her dismissive attitude made me feel invalidated. If you’re seeking a therapist who cares about Black women’s mental health, look elsewhere!

I find Wynda a refreshing part of my week. I look forward every week to our conversations. I have a light bulb moment each and every week during our sessions. I find her to be kind, understanding and down to earth on so many levels.
