Psychotherapist
TX
You’re not broken, and you don’t need another vague pep talk. My work is practical and results-oriented: reduce symptoms, understand patterns, and build skills you can actually use. I help adults move through anxiety, trauma, relationship strain, and stuck habits using an integrated approach—Internal Family Systems (parts work), EMDR, CBT, attachment, and nervous-system regulation. Sessions are collaborative, direct, and grounded in evidence-based practices. We’ll clarify what’s happening (mind/body), target the root drivers, and practice tools between sessions so change sticks. I offer secure virtual care for adults anywhere in Texas, daytime availability, and a free consult to make sure the fit is right. Private-pay; I do not accept insurance. If you’re ready to do the work, I’ll meet you with equal effort, clear feedback, and steady support. Let's get started!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Expect a warm but straight-shooting style. I’ll validate what’s hard and also give you concrete next steps. We’ll map triggers and cycles, then translate insight into experiments you can try in real life - micro-skills for regulation, communication scripts, boundary language, and repair tools. I’m responsive, structured, and collaborative: we’ll set goals, track progress, and adjust quickly if something isn’t working. All sessions are virtual for adults in Texas, with daytime scheduling and a free consult so you can gauge fit and ask questions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We start with an overview of attachment styles so you have a map for how you relate under stress. In the first sessions we clarify goals, history, and current stressors and we map symptoms in the body (where anxiety, shutdown, or anger live). From an IFS lens, we identify the “parts” that show up - protectors (perfectionist, people-pleaser, inner critic, numb-out) and the vulnerable parts they’re trying to keep safe. We also chart your trigger cycles: cue ? body sensation ? thought ? emotion ? behavior, and target the beliefs that no longer serve you. Expect homework that is doable: regulation skills you can use anywhere, thought/behavior experiments, communication scripts, and boundary language. We review what you tried, keep what works, and adjust as needed. If trauma or stuck memories are keeping your nervous system on high alert, we stabilize first (sleep, safety, skills) and may use EMDR in a focused, time-limited way, often alongside parts work, to reduce reactivity and free up energy for the present. If you’re unhappy in your relationships, we map the conflict cycle (pursue/withdraw/defend), slow the physiology, and replace criticism with clear need-based requests. We practice repair, build tolerance for vulnerability, and set values-aligned boundaries - so connection doesn’t require self-abandonment. You’ll understand what’s happening (mind/body), have tools to use between sessions, and we’ll measure progress by how your daily life changes.
