What should a new client know about working with you?

Wynter is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly a decade of direct service experience. Wynter’s work is centered on helping individuals better understand their relationships, identity, history, and emotional experiences. Wynter has extensive experience working with adults living with HIV/AIDS, advocating for homeless queer youth in NYC, and working in supportive housing throughout NYC. These experiences helped cultivate a passion to address the injustices present in our healthcare systems and inspired Wynter to move towards clinical work with a perspective grounded in social justice. Wynter’s approach focuses on curiosity, warmth, and compassion to open a space where she can guide her patients through the intricate web of emotions without judgement. Wynter’s treatment is anchored around a deep respect for the complex intersection of identity while examining the impact societal marginalization has on the psyche. Wynter’s therapeutic approach is psychodynamic, relational and collaborative—positioning clients as experts in their own lives while offering guidance, support and advocacy.
