Hello there, I’m Yalice.
I am a fully bilingual (English/Spanish) mental health counselor licensed in Florida with over 20 years of clinical experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Albizu University. I have counseled and provided services across various levels of care to children, adolescents, families, adults, and the geriatric population, including residential treatment, community outpatient care, home-based therapy, school-based therapy, inpatient forensic treatment, and via telehealth. I also have extensive experience facilitating therapeutic groups and psychoeducational forums with different age groups. Over the years, I have treated clients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, disruptive behaviors, family conflicts, self-harming behaviors, grief/loss, addictions, and childhood/adolescent disorders.

What should a new client know about working with you?
Reaching out and seeking professional help is the first step and the most imperative one to achieve psychological wellbeing and optimal day to day functioning. During the initial session I gather necessary information to understand what brings you to therapy, your past and present level of functioning, your symptoms, interests, and strengths, as well as goals and expectations for therapy. Moving forward we will continue to work towards identified treatment goals to assist you express ideas, feelings, and needs while learning how to effectively overcome challenging situations with guidance and support. Let a compassionate, empathetic, active listener, and professional like me guide you towards building awareness, developing personal growth, and transforming your life.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
