What should a new client know about working with you?

I will provide a non-judgmental and safe environment where you can process your feelings, thoughts and experiences. My approach is collaborative, with emphasis on compassion and empowerment. I practice Cognitive Behavioral, mindfulness and strength based techniques. I specialize in providing therapy for Chinese-speaking and other Asian clients who are facing depression, anxiety, and various life stressors. Drawing from my own cultural background and experience as an immigrant, I recognize the importance of addressing emotional issues within the context of our cultural identity. I am dedicated to help you navigate your challenges by honoring your cultural heritage and background.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first few sessions typically involve a comprehensive evaluation of your needs. By the end of the evaluation, I will be able to offer you some initial impressions of what our work might include. We will then work together to come up with goals that tailor to your needs.
