Getting to know Yana Kofman

I'm Yana Kofman, LMHC, with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. John's University. I specialize in helping high-achievers, executives, and creatives master their mindset and emotional well-being. Success doesn’t erase stress, self-doubt, or the pressure to perform at the highest level—it often amplifies it. My work is designed for individuals who want more than traditional talk therapy—those seeking strategic, results-driven sessions that create real change. Using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and evidence-based strategies, I help clients navigate perfectionism, imposter syndrome, relationship dynamics, and the emotional complexities of success. Therapy with me isn’t about endless processing—it’s about breaking patterns, building confidence, and helping you feel as successful internally as you look externally. For those seeking deeper self-exploration, I also offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy as an optional adjunct to therapy. This can be a powerful tool for clients looking to break through emotional barriers and accelerate personal insight in a safe, guided setting. I offer private telehealth sessions for flexibility and discretion, with limited in-person availability for retainer-based clients in NYC and Long Island. If you’re looking for a high-impact approach to mental well-being, let’s connect.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is tailored for high-performing individuals who want therapy that is both insightful and action-oriented. I combine CBT, mindfulness, and performance psychology techniques to help you develop a more confident, resilient mindset. Sessions are collaborative and strategic—this isn’t passive therapy where you just vent. We’ll work together to rewire unhelpful patterns, strengthen emotional intelligence, and optimize your mental performance. Therapy should be as effective as the other investments you make in your life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I provide private telehealth therapy for maximum flexibility, with select in-person availability for retainer-based clients. Each session is customized to your goals—whether it’s overcoming imposter syndrome, improving relationships, or managing high-stakes stress. For clients interested in alternative therapeutic approaches, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is available as an add-on to ongoing therapy. This is always done in a structured, supportive environment to ensure safety and integration. Our work together is efficient, engaging, and designed for long-term impact. I integrate CBT, mindset coaching, and science-backed techniques to help you feel more in control, confident, and aligned with the success you’ve built. If you’re ready to shift the way you think, feel, and operate, let’s talk.

Yana Kofman, LMHC is not in-network with any insurances

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $250 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $250 for 60 minutes
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork

More information on payments and coverage

There’s a meaningful difference between insurance-based therapy and private therapy. I’ve chosen not to accept insurance because it allows me to offer something more personalized, flexible, and high-impact without the red tape of session limits, diagnoses, or treatment plans dictated by a third party. My clients are often high-achieving professionals who value depth, discretion, and results. Private therapy gives us the freedom to focus on what actually works for you, not just what’s covered. It’s a more intentional, collaborative experience designed to create lasting change...not just manage symptoms. If you have out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a superbill for possible reimbursement.

I can't thank Yana enough for the positive impact she's had on my life. As a professional constantly battling stress and overwhelm, I felt like I was drowning. Yana provided a lifeline. Their expert guidance and compassionate approach made me feel heard and supported. Through our sessions, I've not only learned practical strategies to manage stress but also gained a deeper understanding of myself. I now face life's challenges with resilience and a newfound sense of calm. Yana is a true professional, and I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone in need of support. Life-changing experience!
Great therapist. Helped me communicate better with wife and work on what’s important to me. Her office staff very friendly too.
Yana really helped me understand my stress and handle it in a productive way. She's a really great therapist and helped me become more confident at work, in my relationship, and when dealing with family.
Yana has been the most supportive, understanding therapist I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a few). she listens compassionately, but will call you out if need be. She’s helped me so much after I became a mom, and continues to be essential to helping me scale my new business, taking steps towards self-improvement, and building up my confidence. If you can get an appointment with her, definitely take it. I did have to wait a little bit but once I was on her schedule, I knew it was exactly what I needed. She’s almost like a therapist and executive coach rolled into one. She’s truly helped me get myself together and propel myself towards my goals. I look forward to every week!
