Yudelka Columna is a multi-awarded Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in helping children, adults, and families overcome the difficult aftermath of mental, physical, and emotional trauma, including suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. In order to help disadvantaged groups with mental health issues, Yudelka started her own Counseling Private Practice in New Jersey named Healing Road Counseling Services, as well as a Non-Profit Organization named Healing Partners Counseling. Yudelka immigrated to the United States from the Dominican Republic. She graduated in Business Administration at APEC University in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where she received multiple awards as a top student in college and even the whole country. When she moved to the US, she proceeded to take her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Yudelka received post-graduate training in Integrative Trauma informed Health Care from the University of Massachusetts. During the course of her career, she has continued to be awarded for her outstanding work as a professional therapist in New Jersey, United States. Yudelka has been invited as a motivational speaker at Universities and other organizations in NJ. Yudelka worked as a Bilingual Family Service Specialist at the Department of Child Protection and Permanency of New Jersey (DCPP), assisting families dealing with child abuse and neglect. She also has served as a therapist in outpatient settings, such as US Federal Qualified Health Care Centers, and has provided Intensive In-Home therapy through the New Jersey Children’s Systems of Care (PerformCare). Her expertise lies in using a mindfulness-based, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive ethical approach to help her clients.
