Getting to know Yulia Roe

Welcome! I am Yulia, a Clinical Social Worker licensed in Virginia, Alabama, and Missouri with over 6 years of experience in mental health across a variety of settings. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Louisville, Kentucky. I am here to help you overcome the challenges you are currently facing. Our life journey may surprise us with many joyful and positive experiences, but there are certainly times when we stumble upon disappointments, stressful life events, health concerns, loss of a loved one, or traumatic experiences that bring us down to our knees and make us question the fairness of life itself and our place in it. If you can relate, you have come to the right place, and I applaud you for finding the strength to reach out for help.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In sessions with me you can expect a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental interaction within which I will support you in gaining understanding of the factors that contribute to the issues that you are experiencing. You will learn and practice coping skills and techniques that can greatly help to release stress, calm anxieties, overcome trauma, and improve your overall ability to manage life situations that are challenging. In our first session I will ask you to share about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of this experience. We will then work together as a team on identifying your treatment goals to move forward. Ultimately, in our time working together, it's not about me giving you answers or advice and more about empowering you to take control of your life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

I love how Julia will stop me when I’m talking to help me see where I’m getting stuck in my emotional merry go round.
She is kind and supportive and also challenges me when needed. She is great to work with.
I’ve only had three sessions and it’s my first time in therapy but I can already see changes in my mood and perception

She is flexible, intelligent, open minded, helps me take care of myself, warm, I feel she really cares about me - she's authentic. Also, she does a good job gently showing me what is going on with me, why some ways of thinking are working and not working. She lets me know I am in charge of my future. Very healthy, professional, she's great. I already recommended her to two friends who wants therapy. Therapy is not something I talk about with many people.
