Getting to know Yuliana Nemes

My goal as your therapist is to work alongside you to discover the effects of being set free from the pain you have carried until now. I provide a caring and non-judgmental environment to explore these deep hurts. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University, which equips me to support you with professional insight and compassion. Call today and dare to be brave. What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with children, families, couples, and adults who struggle with issues related to feelings of worthlessness, depression, anxiety, guilt, and shame. I specialize in working with those who have experienced traumatic events and am particularly passionate about working with survivors of sexual abuse. I provide a safe environment to explore these issues in order to help you reconnect with who you are and desire to be. I employ a variety of therapeutic approaches including but not limited to CBT, DBT, play therapy, and ACT. I am certified in Gottman couple’s therapy level 1; and prepare/enrich couples counseling. I also understand the influence of culture on one’s beliefs and behaviors and provide culturally sensitive therapy in both English and Spanish.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will include a detailed biopsychosocial assessment which will help us determine best course of action. sessions will last typically 45-60 minutes and the frequency will be determine after the assessment.
