HI
Hi there, I'm Yumi! Hello, my name is Yumi Lemaster, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from Fayetteville State University. I'd love to get to know you and understand the primary concerns and issues that bring you here for healing first and foremost. From there, we can work to process deeper core patterns and issues that might perpetuate your hurt and pain. I'm also very solution-oriented and like to provide practical tools and spiritual, inspirational words to help heal all of you. My approach I like to use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help challenge the thoughts and emotions that affect your decisions and choices, which may continue to harm you. I also utilize person-centered therapy to help you validate and understand yourself, as well as to come to accept that no one is perfect and we all need a little more validation and acceptance of those imperfections. My focus My specialties include trauma treatment, PTSD, and a range of life phases, grief and loss, relationship issues, and faith-based concerns as a Christian. My communication style I strive to provide a very compassionate and validating environment first and foremost for what you might be dealing with. At the same time, I like to challenge you to move past unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that continue to hurt yourself and possibly others you care about. We will be very in-depth and explore your life thoroughly, but also remain very solution-oriented. My journey to mental healthcare I've always been intrigued by how our emotions and brains work to affect our overall well-being. Having had many personal adverse childhood experiences has led me to understand myself deeply and develop great empathy for others who hurt. Finding the path to my career in Social Work was a calling that came at the right time in my life by God, and I believe I am here to help people feel empowered, find peace, purpose, and healing in their lives.
