It takes courage and strength to reach out for support and connection. I am here to support you in navigating challenging times which can greatly impact our well-being. Together, we can focus on finding the right tools and strategies that help you feel empowered, grounded, and hopeful. In 2007, I graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health Counseling. Now as a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC), I have been working in the mental health and substance use field for over 15 years. I primarily work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation/ mood instability, with a trauma informed lens. I have worked in inpatient and residential mental health and substance use co-occurring treatment facilities and am passionate about people becoming the best version of themselves. I utilize a person-centered, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, trauma informed and relational therapy informed practice. This means I will take the time to learn about you, your goals, what is important to you and strive to develop a trusting relationship in which you feel heard. With cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavior therapy you will learn to think about issues from a different lens and learn skills to manage difficult emotions. By changing the way you think, you can change the way you feel and be empowered to make positive changes.
