Getting to know Yvonne Frias

?Mental health problems don't define who you are. They are something you experience. You walk in the rain and you feel the rain, but, importantly, YOU ARE NOT THE RAIN.? - Matt Haig Helping others has always been a passion of mine. I believe people from all generations deserve to be heard and acknowledged. Each person experiences and handles life differently and may need assistance to overcome the difficulties life may bring them. I tailor my sessions to the individual and their experience. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Houston, Clear Lake, which has equipped me with the skills to provide compassionate and personalized care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, helping them to express their feelings, desires, & objectives. Together, in a comfortable, open, and secure environment, we can work to explore and achieve these goals. Clients can expect to take away a feeling of being heard, understood, and hopefully some calm within themselves and self-appreciation. Each individual has their own unique way of experiencing and handling life, and sometimes they may need a guiding hand to overcome life's challenges, let me be that hand to help overcome your life challenge.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is tailored to each individual's needs and experiences, regardless of their age or background. I use a combination of Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Expressive Arts to help my clients achieve their goals.
