Getting to know Yvonne Nuffer

I am a licensed therapist with a Master’s Degree in counseling. I am also a registered play therapist. In my previous career as a special education teacher, I was moved by the overwhelming need of both the children and parents when faced with special needs. I am familiar and comfortable working with people who have physical and emotional characteristics that require unique strategies for coping. Also, as an adoptive parent, I understand the unique attachment demands placed on families learning to navigate issues not often seen outside that setting. I also understand what it means for individuals who have to live with depression and trauma, or who struggle with problems ranging from relationship dysfunction to PTSD. I would be honored to walk through whatever situations you are facing to help you develop strategies for those issues. I am a mother of three children, married for over 30 years. I am a committed Christian, and while that characterizes my life, I understand that not everyone shares my beliefs. I respect the beliefs of all of my clients whether they share my worldview or not, and my beliefs do not prohibit me from helping others regardless of whatever issues they are facing.
