THERAPIST SPECIALTIES: Eating Disorders & Body Image Anxiety Life Transitions Perinatal Journey (prenatal, pregnancy, postnatal, infertility) Relationship Challenges Depression Identity Exploration Self-Compassion Collaboration is key in my work with clients. As we explore change for growth, I honor your voice and provide a safe, welcoming, empowering environment that creates trust. I meet you where you are, using a strengths-based perspective to create a path toward understanding yourself and aligning your behavior with your values in everyday life. I pursue a mind-body approach, believing how we treat our bodies physically affects mental health. I work around meeting primary needs for both body and mind. As an eclectic therapist, I believe no one modality fits every client. I pull techniques from DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and CBT. Together, we create a tailored approach using skills and talk therapy to foster change. Disordered Eating & Body Image: Navigating disordered eating can feel impossible and exhausting. Exploring frustrations around unhelpful behaviors is the first step to awareness of how disordered eating impacts your life. With past IOP and individual therapy experience, I support individuals seeking to better understand themselves regarding body and self-esteem. My approach focuses on a supportive, collaborative environment while building a toolbox of healthy coping mechanisms for triggers. Using a combination of modalities, we create an open dialogue on moving toward body neutrality and reducing disordered eating thoughts and behaviors. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a growing clinician, I am constantly wanting to expand my knowledge about all things female-presenting clients are navigating from teen years to adulthood. Recently, I passed my Perinatal Mental Health Certificate (PMHC) which covers extensive training in working with families, mothers and fathers who are going through their perinatal journey. Exploring emotions and decision making during this life transition can be overwhelming, to put it lightly, so I hope to act as a guide as we explore this deeply personal journey together. Practicing what I preach is something that I have found to be important to me as I ask for you to do the work in our therapy space. Therefore, I currently am interested in learning more about somatic therapy and how that can be intertwined with my work of mind-body connection.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Once you book an appointment, my administrative team will onboard you to the practice and communicate with you every step of the way until your first appointment so that you know exactly what to expect. In session, I will collaborate with you to provide the most effective care, meeting you where you're at while gently encouraging your growth and wellbeing.
