Getting to know Zayn Singh

Being a therapist is a privilege and an honor. I care deeply about your reality and experience of the world. I have a Master's degree in Counseling, focusing on psychodynamic and feminist theory. My psychodynamic training means I have experience listening in a specific way that invites us, together, to discover and make meaning out of the experiences in life. I believe that gaining insight means learning to be open to learning about ourselves curiously and compassionately. All parts of you, including the ones deemed shameful or bad, are accepted into this space. I work long-term with folks, which allows us to build a strong relationship of trust and intimacy. This may mean that the struggles that happen in other interpersonal relationships in your life may show up in our relationship. My hope is that we can address and heal past interpersonal experiences and discover new ways of relating and engaging with others. My identity as a South Asian, queer, and trans person means I understand being in a world where systems impact us. I believe that if there was an easy solution to fix things, you would have done it. Healing is much more than that and I am willing to walk with you through it all. I care deeply about your reality and I am honored to be a part of your journey.
