Zeynep is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the State of New Jersey. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and is trained in EMDR. Her specialties include working with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, the impact of trauma, and sociocultural issues. She also has extensive experience with religious and cultural minorities, understanding the unique challenges and strengths that arise within these contexts. In addition to her Counseling degree, Zeynep also has a Master's in Literature and uses bibliotherapy with her clients who enjoy reading.
As a person-centered therapist, Zeynep believes in empowering her clients on their journey towards healing. She prioritizes creating a non-judgmental and inclusive environment where clients can feel safe, heard, and supported as she collaborates with them on their goals. Zeynep draws from Existential therapy, Internal Family Systems, and other trauma-informed therapies to create a flexible approach that can meet the specific needs of her clients. She is dedicated to helping individuals overcome the difficulties and negative symptoms caused by internal and external stressors, and fostering sustainable positive change.
