Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. It can look very different from person to person, based on what they need. This is why finding the right therapist is such an important part of the process, though sometimes overwhelming! I work with adults in need of support with managing stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms. My approach I use a psychodynamic approach to help you identify and explore patterns and events in your life that have an impact on your overall well-being. While holding space to process life experiences, we can utilize a toolbox of practical coping skills to help manage emotional health. My focus I work with adults who are managing stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Whether you’re navigating a difficult stage of life, building a self-care plan, or working through trauma, I am here to provide an empathetic, judgment-free space to process and create a plan of action. My communication style Helping you feel supported and free of judgment is of the utmost importance to me. I practice active listening and prioritize developing a safe space for you. Clients have told me that I create a warm, kind, and comforting presence for them. My journey to mental healthcare The one thing that I knew for certain was that I wanted to help others. Working with teenagers in long-term psychiatric hospitalization taught me that mental health is equally genetic and environmental. Interning for a domestic violence victim advocacy program at a courthouse showed how impactful our systems can be, especially if they are broken. My goals for you Every individual is the expert on their own lived experience. I approach therapy as a partnership, where I am a guest on your journey. Like a good first mate on a ship, I will help you weather difficult waters, provide you with my insights, and help navigate your course.
