Psychotherapist

You deserve a space where you can show up fully, be heard, and begin to make sense of what you’ve been carrying. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I work with individuals navigating generational trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and questions around identity, sexuality, and spirituality. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practices like CBT and solution-focused therapy. At the same time, I incorporate creative and expressive techniques to make sessions engaging and personalized—because healing can look different from week to week. Some sessions may be deep and reflective, while others may feel more interactive and dynamic. In our work together, you can expect honesty, compassion, and accountability. I’ll support you in understanding patterns, developing coping skills, and creating meaningful change in your life, while also encouraging you to apply what you learn outside of session. I bring both professional training and lived experience into the space, and I strive to create an environment where you feel safe, respected, and empowered. If spirituality is meaningful to you, it can be integrated into our work in a way that aligns with your values. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more self-aware, and more connected to your truth, so you can move forward with clarity, purpose, and intention.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel uncomfortable—I get that. You’re talking to someone new, maybe about things you don’t usually say out loud. My goal is to make that feel a little easier from the start. When you work with me, you can expect a real, down-to-earth approach. I’m compassionate and empathetic, but I’m also honest and direct—in a way that comes from a place of care, not judgment. Think supportive, but I’m not just going to nod the whole time. We’re here to do real work. I use a mix of CBT, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused techniques to help you understand your patterns and actually shift them. Some sessions might get deep and emotional, and others might feel lighter—we might use conversation starters, creative exercises, or simple activities to help you open up and see things differently. Healing isn’t one-note. You’ll have a voice in the process, and I’ll meet you where you are—but I’ll also hold you accountable. Growth takes intention, and I’m here to support you through that, not let you stay stuck. Overall, expect a space where you can be yourself, laugh when it feels right, be real about what’s hard, and leave with something you can actually use in your everyday life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When we begin working together, I typically recommend starting with weekly sessions for the first 3 months. This helps us build a strong foundation, get a clear understanding of what you’re going through, and begin making steady progress toward your goals. During this initial phase, we focus on identifying patterns, understanding what’s contributing to your current challenges, and developing practical tools you can start using right away. As things begin to stabilize and you feel more grounded, we may transition to bi-weekly sessions for the next 6–12 months. This phase is about deepening your insight, strengthening coping skills, and working through longer-standing patterns at a sustainable pace. Eventually, as you continue to grow and maintain progress, we may move to monthly check-ins. These sessions help you stay supported, reflect on your progress, and address any new challenges that come up before moving toward successful discharge when you feel ready. A typical session is collaborative and structured, but flexible enough to meet you where you are that day. We may check in on recent experiences, explore emotions or stressors, and connect them to deeper themes or past experiences. I use a blend of CBT, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused techniques, along with expressive tools when helpful, to support both insight and practical change. You can expect a mix of reflection, skill-building, and real-life application. My role is to support you, challenge unhelpful patterns when needed, and help you stay accountable to the goals you set for yourself—while making sure you feel safe, understood, and respected throughout the process.

More information on payments and coverage

I am in-network with several major insurance providers, including Florida Blue, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UMR, and other commercial plans. If you are using insurance, your cost will depend on your specific plan details, such as copays, deductibles, or coinsurance. Insurance benefits can vary, so it’s always a good idea to confirm your mental health coverage ahead of time. I also offer self-pay options and sliding scale fees when needed to help make therapy more accessible and fit within different budgets. Mental health should never feel out of reach because of finances—it’s an investment in your overall well-being. We often prioritize insurance for our car, home, phone, and life, but mental health is just as essential. Taking care of your emotional and psychological health impacts every area of your life, and I believe it deserves the same level of attention and care. My goal is to help remove as many barriers as possible so you can focus on doing the work for yourself.
