Getting to know Zulema Moore
Hi there, I'm Zulema!
Hi there, I am Zulema Moore. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about working collaboratively with all my clients through challenges to experience healing and growth in their lives.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is person-centered therapy. I will focus on being nonjudgmental, emphatic, and supportive by allowing you to actively take the reins during each session.
My focus
I work with a wide range of clients. My main focus has been working with clients who have anxiety, depression, multiple grief issues, and trauma. I have expertise in multiple grief-related issues, such as divorce, infertility, childhood trauma, and health-related losses.
My communication style
I have an easygoing personality. I like to create a safe space for all my clients.
My journey to mental healthcare
I started my career working directly with rape and crisis survivors. I understood through my training, my personal experience with childhood trauma, and my own healing journey that I wanted to help others. I pursued and obtained my master's in social work from Loma Linda University. Through this experience, I have come to understand better the effects of unresolved trauma, the grief caused by trauma, and how these relate to relationships. I strive to help you through your healing journey.
My goals for you
My primary goal is to create a safe place that enables a strong therapeutic relationship. Sessions are tailored to the client's needs and tend to be unstructured and client-driven. Homework may be assigned occasionally in the form of readings, relationship-building activities, or implementing skills learned during sessions into daily life.

During the intake session, I encourage clients to discuss what brings them to therapy as well as what goals they would like to accomplish.
