Getting to know Kay Pauszek
As Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz seeks what is “over the rainbow” on the yellow brick road, she discovers her brain, heart, and courage to help her persevere and overcome fear—although she found these qualities were within herself from the very beginning. The desires or solutions we yearn for or search for outside of ourselves are often already within us; we may just need help reconnecting with or recreating our true and authentic selves again.
As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I believe in incorporating an eclectic style of various therapeutic approaches. I hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University in San Diego, an associate’s degree in visual communications from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree in mass communications with a minor in theatre arts from the University of Iowa. I work and collaborate with adolescents and adults from diverse cultural and background experiences.

Dr. Kay is probably the first therapist that I've had that I feel completely comfortable with talking and opening myself up to. I don't have to feel embarrassed if I'm not able to find the right word or turn of phrase when explaining things to her.
