Dr. Alicia Beal, MD

Primary Care Doctor

Many doctors will tell you they knew from a young age they wanted to go into medicine. I didn't see that as my path until my senior year in college. At that point, I didn't know what kind of doctor I wanted to be, other than a very good one who would keep true to my faith and establish a trusting relationship with patients. After exploring many options, I found family medicine to be a good fit. Over my years of practice, I have realized what I really love is helping patients be the best possible version of themselves. I do that through education, prevention and, when necessary, medical intervention. I am board-certified in both family medicine and lifestyle medicine, a discipline that focuses on lifestyle choices that improve and maintain health. I help patients prevent, treat and even reverse chronic health problems through diet, exercise, sleep, stress management, social connection and risky behavior modifications. Much of my free time is devoted to my family. My children are growing into adults, which has given me time to rediscover a love of reading, travel and exercise. I used to play French horn, mellophone and piano, and plan to learn either guitar or cello at some point. I'm excited to see where this phase of life leads me.
