About Dr. Amy Halanski
A physician, first and foremost, is a healer. To be a good healer, one must listen not only to a person's words but also to the nonverbal communication of their body's symptoms to determine how to help that person "be their best self." I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University, which laid the foundation for my commitment to compassionate care.
Telemedicine mental health allows individuals to feel safe and comfortable discussing deeply private and personal struggles that may have persisted for years or newly emerged due to recent events. I have enjoyed listening to people for 16 years and helping them in ways that feel comfortable to them, supporting their success in mental health and overall life journey.

I was seen by Dr. Halanski for an ADHD assessment (video appt). After starting a little late (5 minutes in a virtual waiting room after a few minutes of waiting to get in the “room”), the appointment felt rushed and impersonal. Don’t get me wrong, she was plenty amicable and helpful, but I felt that she just wanted to get the appointment over with. Would not recommend if that would put you off like it did me!!
