Dr. Anton Dahbura III, DO

Primary Care Doctor
10810 Mallard Creek Rd, Charlotte, NC
When picking a career, I kept going between teaching and medicine because both professions would allow me to be a lifelong learner and educator. Ultimately, I decided becoming a physician would allow me to develop long-term relationships with my patients, while continually learning and changing lives for the better. Family medicine lets me see patients through all stages of life and be a continuous advocate for their health, while educating them so they can advocate for themselves. I practice evidence-based medicine and always attempt to stay up-to-date with the most recent information regarding clinical practice. I am passionate about preventive medicine and helping patients make beneficial lifestyle changes. I am particularly interested in women's health, and making sure women get the unique care they require. I think of my patients as the captains of their ships, and I simply have the pleasure of being their guide. It is an honor to take care of my patients and learn from them as much as I hope they will learn from me. Before moving to North Carolina, I spent most of my life in Virginia. I am originally from Centreville, outside of Washington, D.C. As an undergraduate student, I studied chemistry at Virginia Tech before going on to medical school at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine - Virginia in Blacksburg. After graduating, I continued my medical training in Greensboro, North Carolina. There, as chief resident, I cared for patients in and out of the hospital and got to provide family medicine services to a diverse population including many non-English speaking refugees. When I am not working, sports including soccer and ultimate Frisbee keep me active. I am a huge Manchester United fan, and watch games whenever I can. Board games are another big interest. I have played more than 200 of them in my lifetime, and dream of opening a board game bar one day.
