About Dr. Benjamin Thompson
Dr. Ben Thompson graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2010 and attended medical school at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. He completed his Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2018 at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School in Houston, and returned home to Nacogdoches to practice alongside his role model and father, Dr. Charles (Tony) Thompson.
Dr. Ben Thompson is a general OB/GYN who provides a wide range of women’s health services. He cares for women during both normal and problem pregnancies and focuses on delivering healthy babies. He performs women’s preventive care exams, provides prenatal care, counsels on family planning and contraception, and performs minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including robotic surgery. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of OB/GYN.

I was initially apprehensive about seeing a male doctor, but I’m pleased to say that my experience exceeded my expectations. The doctor was professional, attentive, and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. He answered all my questions thoroughly and showed genuine care for my concerns. His team was very helpful and supportive. Overall, I left feeling satisfied with the care I received.
