About Dr. Chau Nguyen-Tran
Dr. Chau Nguyen-Tran, MD, FACOG, earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Joseph Medical Center. She also holds a Bachelor's degree from Georgia State University and a Doctor of Chiropractic from Houston Christian University. Dr. Nguyen-Tran is board-certified and was recognized as the outstanding female physician at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital in 2011. She has served on the hospital executive committee and as chairman of the OB/PEDI department. Currently, she remains an active member of various hospital quality and performance committees focused on patient care and safety.
Dr. Nguyen-Tran practices obstetrics and gynecology at Sugar Land Women's Care. Her clinical interests include general obstetrics, infertility, menopause, adolescent gynecology, and all aspects of female health. She performs in-office procedures, laparoscopic, and robotic surgeries. Alongside her professional staff, Dr. Nguyen-Tran believes in continuity of care throughout a woman's life by providing current literature, treatment options, and support in a compassionate environment. She is dedicated to educating women to empower them to take control of their health. Dr. Nguyen-Tran also enjoys combining her clinical expertise and academic knowledge by actively mentoring a wide range of students in her clinic, from high school health seniors and nurse practitioners to medical assistants.

Doctor Nguyen Tran are very unthoughful, she does not open minded for questions and demand impolitely you to do things she wants. If you say the wrong medical terms she would immediately correct you with judgement. She will never ask if you have any other questions at the end but just cant wait to walk out. Not recommended at all.

Booking the appointment was easy online. Parking was free and easy. Office was easy to find. I was promptly greeted upon arrival in the office. Staff was friendly and helpful. Office was clean. I didn’t wait more than a few minutes to be seen.

The first visit was decent to good… until I felt like I was becoming a burden for worrying about my reproductive health despite only seeing her twice. My last appointment seemed like she wanted to leave the room rather than listen to my concerns, answer my questions and make sure I was receiving clear information. She was very dismissive to my concerns. Although she is very well educated, she does not seem to care about the emotional wellness of her patients.

When it’s time to see a doctor I usually get pretty anxious and I loved how warm and comfortable Dr Chau Nguyen-Tran and the nurse made me feel. I plan on trying to get pregnant in a couple of months and I would love to come back and be taken care of by Dr Chau again.

This was my first visit with Dr. Nguyen-Tran and she made me feel EXTREMELY comfortable it’s was like she knew me my whole life. I went for a routine Pap smear, and was in and out. Very friendly staff!

Great doctor, very attentive and very thorough. I am happy that I finally found the doctor who understands me and who took time to listen to me (I speak a lot, lol).
I also noticed that the doctor was very honest and explained me my condition in simple words, without scaring me or the opposite sugar coding too much.
I would definitely recommend her :)

Great experience. Dr. Tran was amazing. Her bedside manners are outstanding. She is very personable and cares. The wait time was only a few minutes before I was called to the back. The staff were nice and helpful and the overall office was nice. I highly recommend her if you are in the Sugarland area.

The experience with the doctor was extremely satisfactory. I am a foreigner, with very little time in the country, and the dr was warm and friendly. In addition, he answered all my questions and offered me solutions.
Unfortunately, the receptionist's treatment was not the best, especially as a new patient who did not understand the appointment process well.
I also asked her about why I had to make a co-payment if my insurance covered the appointment 100% and annoyedly she replied that it was not appropriate, without providing me with any additional information, or without even calling the insurance company to confirm.
As a professional in the health area, the reception staff should be more empathetic. There are patients who arrive with some condition and looking for help, sometimes nervous or worried.
