My journey to medicine began in physical therapy, and that experience helped shape the kind of physician I am today. Before earning my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, I worked as a physical therapist assistant in skilled nursing facilities, which gave me a unique perspective on patient care, movement and recovery. Giving back to the communities where I live has always been important to me. From co-publishing musical arrangements and helping build homes to offering physical therapy services to uninsured patients and tutoring fellow students, these volunteer experiences have strengthened my commitment to compassionate, respectful care. During residency, treating patients in a variety of settings provided valuable experience caring for both short-term concerns and ongoing health conditions. I have seen first-hand how clear communication, coordinated care and timely treatment can make a real difference for patients and their families. At Novant Health, I work closely with each patient to create a care plan that fits their needs and goals, whether that's managing a chronic condition or seeking help for a new concern.
