About Dr. Elissa Gretz Friedman

Elissa Gretz Friedman is a board-certified OB/GYN and Menopause Society-Certified Practitioner. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Dr. Friedman's considerable experience in menopause care includes over 20 years of practice at Mount Sinai, where she was the head of the Menopause Center of New York and founded a menopause clinic for resident training. Her prior experience also includes patient care in private practice and leadership of benign gynecology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She has published several journal articles on menopause and a book chapter on hot flashes.
