About Dr. Janice Chan
Janice W Chan earned her medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. She completed a family medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center McKeesport, in McKeesport, Pa., serving as chief resident and receiving The Resident Scholarship Award. During her post-graduate training she did research and presented to medical audiences on a variety of clinical topics. She went onto complete a geriatric medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center St. Margaret, in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Dr. Chan is kind and attentive. She was not in a rush like many doctors are when they come in to see you, so I felt comfortable talking about my concerns. She listened carefully, discussed testing options and possible referrals with me, and gave her professional judgment about whether it was worth doing. Blood work was done right down the hall. Parking & main entrance at the Saxonburg office is around the back of the building just past the Dollar General - I had some trouble finding it at first.

Dr. Cham was very thorough and listened to what I had to say. This was the first time I have ever had a physician be the one to talk with me over the phone about results and about follow up care. She was very compassionate. It was nice to feel like my concerns were taken seriously and I felt like she treated me as an individual and not just another patient. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new provider.
