About Dr. Mariam Aboulela
Dr. Aboulela graduated from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, FL and trained at Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital OB/GYN residency in St. Petersburg, FL. During her training, she received the top score on the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology Exam (CREOG). She moved to Sugar Land, TX to join Sugar Land Women’s Care and to be closer to her family.
Dr. Aboulela has a passion for patient education and autonomy. She believes in physician-patient collaboration built on patient empowerment and evidence based care. She is trained in the full scope of obstetric and gynecologic care and has a special interest in high risk obstetrics, contraceptive care, office procedures, and robotic surgery.
In her spare time, she enjoys discovering the Houston food scene with her husband and painting.

It was my first pap smear in years (maybe ever) so I of course was so nervous and anxious but Dr Mariam Aboulela was absolutely amazing! She explained a lot of information, while also educating me a bit. I felt comfortable with her words and understanding. The process was quick and painless. Honestly my doctor was so sweet, i had previously been through a rape incident & she talked to me through everything & made sure i was comfortable with everything going on. She made me laugh as well, it helped really take my anxiety away.

I appreciate her so much. Usually doctor don't really listen to my concerns or experiences and tend to brush it off as something else but she really took the time to just listen to me and my concerns. Also she gave great advice overall without feeling judged. The staff and front desk were extremely nice and helpful and overall i felt very comfortable. They were very accommodating
