Mazhar Lakho is a compassionate and dedicated internist and primary care doctor serving his patients in Belleville, IL. Dr. Lakho is multilingual, communicating fluently with his patients in English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and Sindhi. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and he is currently a member of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Lakho believes in quality over quantity and in the education of patients. He is currently practicing at his own internal medicine practice. Dr. Lakho performs annual physicals, allergy consultations, colon cancer screenings, dermatology consultations, and disability evaluations. This doctor is a great doctor. He listens to you. He has empathy for you the fact that he’s down to earth and jokes around with you a little bit kind of makes it less awkward when you have to talk to him about personal things. The Office Staff was very nice and respectful. The Dr. Was one of the first Doctors to actual listen to everything I had to say. I loved his attentiveness to my concerns and needs.

The receptionist was on a personal phone call while myself and another new patient were waiting. She was screaming and cussing at her son on the phone with no regards to the two new customers in the waiting room. While seeing the Dr. He has his computer open with a video chat with another person watching the visit. Which is fine but it would be nice to know who she is or why she is on a video chat during your apt. . Dr. Seemed very nice however a very outdated office. Patient privacy is not very well demonstrated in the office. After a few patients saw Dr. They had to go out to the front desk and tell the receptionist what medicine he prescribed them and tell her where to send medicine too. This is all in the waiting room with patients listening.

He asked me a bunch of questions unrelated to what was wrong with me. Did not try to see what was really wrong with me. Did a very quick and brief check up then prescribed me medication after I told him I do not like taking medication. Even a staff member told me that he was a bit off his rocker. I would not recommend him to anyone.

The doctor looked to me over. And could figure out what was going on with me right away. Even though the doctor wasn’t feeling well. He still took the time to see me .im very grateful. The nurses assistant was amazing she made me feel real comfortable and relaxed. She was very easy to talk to. And she was amazing at her job. Thank you to the doctor and his assistant. Great job. Amazing. Good news or bad news he gives it to you straight. But he shows compassion when he’s giving the news and his assistant. Has the smile to make you feel ok about whatever the situation may be as the outcome. Thank you again

I have been searching for a doctor that cares and isn't dismissal for so long. I am pursuing a nursing degree and have worked on a geriatric floor before and it is very important to pay attention to detail. He is very informative and you can definitely tell when someone loves their job. I give Dr. Lakho a two thumbs up.
