Dr. Sama Atallah is a board-certified, Arabic-speaking primary care physician, providing personalized care to patients from diverse backgrounds and cultural values—drawing on her experience as a Muslim woman, a mother, and a physician trained in both the U.S. and the Middle East. She sees patients in person at her private practice in Reston, VA, and also offers virtual consultations for established patients. Dr. Atallah is fluent in English and Arabic, allowing her to connect with patients across linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
She completed her medical degree at the University of Jordan and her internal medicine residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
As an internal medicine physician, Dr. Atallah manages a wide range of adult medical conditions with a strong focus on preventive care and women’s health. While she is not a gynecologist, she evaluates and treats many women’s health concerns and refers to specialists when appropriate. She is committed to delivering high-quality, respectful, and culturally sensitive care with a focus on long-term doctor-patient relationships.

I’ve seen Dr. Sama Atallah three times, and each visit has been a great experience. She is very kind, patient, and genuinely listens to my concerns. She listened really well and asked many questions. She figured out that some of my medications were no longer safe for me to take, which another doctor completely missed a month earlier. I was at risk for blood clots because of that mistake for a whole month! So glad I switched doctors and I'm super happy with her now.

I chose this doctor due she had opening. I am so glad I did. She saved my life. She listen to all the concerns and realize something serious going with me. Verse former doctor seems to not care anymore and has made me feel rush. Many times I wait more than long time to be seen, while sitting in a room.
