About her work as an OB/GYN, she says: "The best part of my work is being part of bringing new life into the world and seeing growing, happy families!" In her time away from patients, Dr. Johnstone includes her family in pursuing a healthy lifestyle with family exercise and a focus on eating well. She proudly watches her three children grow into wonderful people. Though she grew up in Washington, Minnesota is now home. Throughout her life, she has had many accomplishments, including academic honors. Dr. Johnstone has traveled worldwide in her practice, including living and practicing in Japan for many years. She has summited Mt. Fuji, led medical mission trips to Kenya and Jamaica with her husband, a pastor, and served as Medical Director of the OB/GYN Department at Misawa Air Base Hospital, becoming a Major and Flight Commander in the US Air Force.
