About Dr. Setareh Hafezi

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES: Our providers must perform an in-person medical evaluation before prescribing a controlled substance for our patients, with no exceptions. If you have any questions, please contact the practice directly.
IUDs and other OB/GYN-related procedures may require insurance authorization.
The initial visit will be an office consultation with the provider. If you decide to move forward with the procedure, our office staff will assist you in scheduling the appointment.
Dr. Hafezi practices obstetrics and gynecology at Bay Valley Medical Group's Hayward office. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Puerto Rico. She completed her internship and residency at the University of California, San Francisco, Fresno Medical Center. Dr. Hafezi is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is multilingual in Farsi, Spanish, and English. She joined Bay Valley Medical Group in 2010. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her two dogs, spending time with family, cooking, traveling, and attending aerobics classes.

Just saw Dr Hafezi. The entire staff was warm and welcoming. The system was efficient so I didn’t have to repeat myself even though I was a new patient. I felt heard and understood. I didn’t feel rushed. Was seen right away. Dr. Hafezi made me feel comfortable and was happy and warm.

Dr. Hafezi and her team are so wonderful. Their office is taking ample COVID precautions to keep time in the office as minimal and safe as possible.
I saw Dr. Hafezi for a colposcopy and she took plenty of time to answer my many questions and explain my results and the procedure. She made sure the procedure was comfortable and as least stressful as it can be.
I would absolutely recommend anyone to see Dr. Hafezi for an IB/GYN professional who is also extremely personable.

It’s was fast and great. Waiting time was maybe 5 min, even though I was a new patient and arrived exactly on time (I expected to wait longer). The doctor was really nice. What I loved the most, she just spoke to me directly, instead of dancing around and being extra careful, as some other doctors did in my past. I don’t know, maybe she does that with those who need it :) but I’d be annoyed with such attitude, and she definitely spotted that and just talked to me like an adult to an adult. I hardly feel the exam itself. All good.

Dr. Hafezi was great! It's hard for me to find good doctors in the Bay Area but Dr. Hafezi was very professional and had great bed-side manners. However, as expected, some of the office staffs were unprofessional & nurses were very much lacking. I don't believe this is the doctor's fault since they were probably hired by the medical group.
