Dr. Thane Campbell, MD

Primary Care Doctor
6301 Stadium Dr, Clemmons, NC
My path to family medicine was influenced by my undergraduate studies in anthropology, which deepened my appreciation for how family dynamics, community structure and culture shape a person's health. That perspective continues to inform how I care for patients today. I see myself as a health counselor. My approach is evidence-based, and I take time to talk through diagnostic and treatment options with each person, sharing my recommendations based on the most current evidence available. From there, we work together to figure out what fits best with their preferences, circumstances and goals. At Novant Health, that kind of collaborative, patient-centered care is something we take seriously. During medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I was selected into the FIRST Scholar (Fully Integrated Readiness for Service Training) Program, a North Carolina family medicine pipeline program that reflects my commitment to this specialty and to serving the communities that need it most. Outside of medicine, my partner Melissa and our two kids keep me busy and grounded. We spend a lot of time outside, including at the playground, and being with the people we care about. I also watch and play soccer, read whenever I can and have been known to binge a good TV series.
