Aaron Rohrer, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Aaron! Hi, my name is Aaron Rohrer. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s in Social Work from California State University. I specialize in supporting clients with addictive and/or compulsive behaviors, as well as chronic mental health issues, to find their path to healing and recovery. My approach While I integrate multiple evidence-based strategies to support my clients in their recovery (ACT, CBT, CPT, solutions-oriented/goal-focused work, and more), first and foremost in any successful therapist-client relationship is the ability to build strong rapport. If you can’t come in and feel like you are in a safe place where you can share the challenges you are facing directly, then this is not going to be a good fit. Let’s meet and see if we can work well together! My focus I have been in this field for over 17 years, working with many people from diverse backgrounds. My career started with a suicide crisis hotline, then progressed to a crisis-residential treatment program for nearly a decade, and finally to an outpatient substance use and mental health treatment program for almost a decade before transitioning into private practice. This experience has prepared me to work with people facing a wide variety of issues. My primary specialty is working with men, men with chronic substance use or mental health-related issues, and people suffering from anxiety and burnout-related challenges. My communication style I strongly believe it is important for the therapist to take an active role in the therapy session. We are not just here to listen openly and nod our heads—yes, it is important to be heard, and sometimes letting some of what’s going on in our heads out for someone else can be extremely important—yet insight is just a start. Finding direction forward is what will ultimately lead to healing. My role is to help you find that path forward.
